From 4th to 8th of March, a workshop took place at SURO as a component of the project "Continued alignment of the Ukrainian regulatory regime with the EU acquis." Representatives from GRS, IRSN, SSTC-NRS, SNRIU, SUJB and SURO participated in this workshop. The primary objective of the workshop was to deliberate on enhancing regulatory capacities in severe accident management and explore the feasibility of implementing in-vessel melt retention for Ukrainian NPPs (WWER-440 and VVER-1000).
